Dan joined the company (then Transamerica) in 1998. He is currently responsible for the Data Management and Premiums Technical Accounting teams, which are responsible for receiving, processing, transforming and validating electronic policy data for use by numerous downstream processes. His teams are also responsible for properly recording premiums and allowances received from clients and for supporting data mining and other analytical needs of the organization.
He was instrumental in the design and creation of the company's data processing infrastructure in the early 2000s, which was at the forefront of the industry's adoption of electronic data for processing, rate validation and analysis.
Dan holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and management information systems from the University of Buffalo and has earned both Chartered Life Underwriter and Fellow, Life Management Institute certifications.
He has 25 years of experience includes insurance systems, process design and efficiencies, data management/ETL, data migration/consolidation, system conversions, accounting, operations and programming.
