Lee Shapiro joined the company in 2021, and he is responsible for developing, underwriting, selling and retaining profitable reinsurance business within SCOR’s risk profile, including facultative consultations and project work for clients within the incumbent’s portfolio.
Lee has over 20 years of experience in the Group Life Insurance industry focused on underwriting, operations and sales. Most recently, he was employed for several years at MedMutual Life Insurance Company as a Director, Underwriting Operations (Group Life and Disability).
He has a bachelor's degree in Economics from University of Wisconsin, and his designations include Fellow of Life Management Institute, Group Benefits Disability Specialist and Associate, Customer Service.
