​Michelle graduated from Baylor University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts. She later attended Florida State University for further studies in Actuarial Science and Applied Math. She joined the company in 2017.

Before becoming an actuary, she worked as an editor for a Silicon Valley media company covering business intelligence technologies. Promoted to her current role in 2019, Michelle manages a team responsible for reviewing large or complex business deals, guideline development, retrocession relationships, pandemic and concentration modelling, and market cross reviews.  In addition, she contributes to SCOR’s Knowledge Workstream on Climate Risk.

Michelle has more than 13 years of experience in reinsurance, with various roles in pricing, valuation, and ERM. She is a frequent presenter at industry events and is the Chair of the Academy of American Actuaries Working Group on Climate Risk Disclosures. She is also a member of the Society of Actuaries Education committee and Friend of the Leadership and Development Section Council. In 2021, Michelle was named to the SOA Nominating Committee, which reports to the SOA Board of Directors and is responsible for creating a ballot with the best candidates for the annual Board of Directors election.
