As part of SCOR’s Global Research & Development team, David provides expert knowledge on mortality/lapse experience analysis, mortality table construction, credibility theory, mortality improvement, and general pricing assumptions development. He is a frequent contributor to SCOR's risk management newsletter.
He earned a master's degree in actuarial science from Ball State University in Indiana and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Indiana. He also holds the Charted Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from the American College.
David is the current Chair of the Society of Actuaries Mortality and Underwriting Survey Committee, participates in the Preferred Mortality Project as a member of the Underwriting Criteria Team. As a member of the SOA's Committee on Life Insurance Research, David has participated in several Project Oversight groups.
