Stephen is responsible for leading the product development and reinsurance pricing activities related to new proprietary protections solutions to end-consumers and incorporating analytics into the iterative design improvement process for these products. His team supports the broader Strategic Partnerships mission to execute initiatives that support SCOR Global Life’s Purpose of expanding insurability via partnerships, entrance to new markets, and consumer-driven protection solutions.
Stephen joined the company in 2017 as an Individual Life Pricing Manger responsible for new business reinsurance pricing for US clients with a focus on clients that use the Velogica® automated underwriting engine, before transitioning to the Strategic Partnerships team in 2020.
He has 20 years of experience doing actuarial work. Before joining SCOR, he worked in reinsurance pricing for a competitor for five years as well as for nine years in pension actuarial consulting and three years as an actuarial student at a direct life insurance writer.
Stephen earned a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica as well as a Big Data and Predictive Analytics certificate from Emory University. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has moderated sessions at the SOA Life and Annuity Symposium and at the Conference of Consulting Actuaries annual meeting.
